The Queen has been pleased to approve that Elliot Anthony Morley, MP for Scunthorpe, be sworn of Her Majesty’s most honourable Privy Council.

Elliot Anthony Morley was MP for Glanford and Scunthorpe from 1987 to 1997 and for Scunthorpe since 1997. He was the opposition front bench spokesman on food agriculture and rural affairs from 1989 to 1997 and Labour spokesman on animal welfare from 1992 to 1997; Parliamentary Secretary MAFF, then DEFRA, from 1997 to 2003, Minister of State for the Environment until 2006.
