Dr. Jack Maggiore serves as the President of Healthy Life Laboratories, and is a medical technologist, certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Dr. Maggiore received his Bachelor of Science degree with Highest Honors in Medical Laboratory Sciences, his Masters of Science degree in Clinical Chemistry and his Doctorate in Pathology from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Much of his research at UIC focused on the role of homocysteine in the prevention and pathogenesis of ischemic stroke. Concurrent to his pursuit for advanced degrees, Dr. Maggiore began his laboratory career at the UIC Medical Center, and served the Hospital Laboratory as a Medical Technologist, Supervisor, and Manager for 13 years. Dr. Maggiore concurrently held an academic faculty position at UIC, where he lectured to medical technology students and medical residents in pathology and laboratory medicine. Dr. Maggiore holds several patents for his product developments and innovative enhancements. Dr. Maggiore is active in the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, where he currently serves as Chair of the Editorial Board for Clinical Laboratory News and serves on the Chicago Section Executive Committee. He is the author of more than thirty publications and textbook chapters, and has presented his research findings at international scientific meetings. Dr. Maggiore's current clinical research interests include prostate disease detection, disease management, and development of novel biomarkers for malignancy and chronic diseases. Dr. Maggiore’s mission is to work with health care professionals to empower consumers to take a more active role in their health maintenance.
