Cal Poly Pomona's McIntosh Named Rawlings Women's Basketball Player of the Week
January 3, 2000

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- CAL POLY POMONA forward Lauri McIntosh has been named the Rawlings California Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of December 27-January 2.

McIntosh, a 5-10 sophomore from Diamond Bar, Calif., led the Broncos to an impressive non-conference win over Western Washington, which at the time was ranked 14th na-tionally and first in the West Region. McIntosh produced her fourth double double of the season in the 74-68 victory with 17 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. She was instrumental in erasing a first-half deficit with six points during a 13-4 Pomona run that gave the Broncos the lead. The Player of the Week honor is the first for McIntosh this season and the second of her career.
