WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- CAL POLY POMONA hurler Chris Amaya has been named the Rawlings CCAA Baseball Player of the Week for the week of January 24-30.

Amaya, a 6-0 righthanded sophomore from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., scattered eight hits, struck out six and walked two to pick up a complete-game 3-2 win over Biola last week, the Broncos' first victory of the season.
