WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- GRAND CANYON goalkeeper Mark Wilson has been named California Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of September 13-19.

Wilson, a junior from Las Vegas, shut out Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Bakersfield on the road last week as Canyon improved to 3-1 in CCAA play and 5-1 overall. In 180 minutes, Wilson faced 15 shots and six corner kicks and made six saves. Also nominated: Chris Fernandez, CSUDH; Peter Barrick, UCD.
