WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- CHICO STATE guard
Marissa Bradley has been named the Rawlings California Collegiate
Athletic Association Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the
week of December 13-19.
Bradley, a 5-8 junior from Brea, Calif.,
powered the Wildcats into a first-place tie in the CCAA standings
with strong performances in a pair of wins last week. She led all
scorers with 24 points on nine of 18 shooting, and added three
rebounds, two assists and two steals in an 80-55 win over Grand
Canyon.
Bradley again led all scorers and notched her
fifth 20-point performance of the season with 21 points on nine of
16 shooting as the Wildcats upended then-No. 24 Cal Poly Pomona,
64-50. For the week, Bradley averaged 22.5 points, 2.5 rebounds
and 2.0 assists, shot 52.9 percent from both three-point range
(9-17) and overall (18-34). The Player of the Week honor is the
second for Bradley this season and her fourth all-time.
