Student Athlete Advisory Council


The mission of the CCAA Student Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare, maintaining athletic integrity, acting as a liaison between student-athletes and the administration and fostering a positive student-athlete image.

Cal Poly Pomona - Stefanie Hedlund, Senior, Cross Country

A prep product of Whittier Christian High School, Hedlund was an All-Olympic League choice in basketball, softball and volleyball. She also contributed to the the Broncos success while participating in cross country and volleyball. She is working towards a degree in finance, real estate and law with an emphasis in business. Hedlund is also the president of the Bronco Athletic Association.

Cal State Bakersfield - Nicole Van Dyke, Senior, Soccer

Nicole will end her career as the second-leading scorer in CSUB women's history. She currently leads the Central Division in scoring. As a junior, she earned second team All-CCAA and all-region honors. At Palm Desert High School she was MVP and All-Pacific Coast Conference. Nicole is majoring in physical education with aspirations of teaching and coaching.

Dominguez Hills - Mara Caples, Senior, Cross Country/T&F

In 1998 Mara finished 11th at the NCAA West Regionals with a time of 23:10 missing a berth to the national meet by just three seconds. As a key contributor on the track, Mara is know contributing as an undergraduate assistant while she finishes her degree in physical education.

Cal State San Bernardino - Linda Ament, Senior, Soccer

Linda’s work ethic has gain her significant playing time. Linda was a three-sport letter winner at Paraclete High School, earning MVP honors in Softball and the Team Leadership award in soccer. As transfer student from Antelope Valley Community College, she plans on majoring in English literature.

Chico State - Kendra Kittoe, Senior, Soccer

Kittoe attended Mountain View High School where she won four varsity letters in soccer and was named 1st Team All-League three time, MVP, team captain, and Most Valuable Offense. She enjoys wakeboarding and now skiing. She is majoring in communications.

San Francisco State - Jessica McKimmie, Junior, Basketball

She averaged 3.4 points a game and hit 10 three-pointers for the Gators. Jessica is fourth on the team in three pointers made. She is also a member of the Special K Unit.

Carey CorfiatisGrand Canyon - Carey Corfiatis, Sophomore, Volleyball

Graduated from East Union High School in Manteca where she received the Captains Award three times, Scholar-Athlete Award and named MVP of her volleyball team. She attended Shorecrest High School in Seattle Washington.

Cal State Stanislaus - Andrea Koplin, Sophomore, Track & Field

Andrea is from Los Banos. She was an NCAA provisional qualifier her freshman season in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault. She set two Stanislaus records at 11'2.25 indoors and 10'8' outdoors. She also earned Academic All-America honors with a 3.74 GPA as a pre-med major.

Michelle GeeCal State L. A. - Michelle Gee, Junior, Tennis

Played three years of varsity tennis earning Honorable Mention, and the team’s Coaches award her senior year at Redwood High School. She is a business major.

UC Davis - Kelly Parker, Senior, Soccer

Became the Aggies all-time leader in career shutouts with 15 vs. San Francisco State (9/12/00) passing Amy Armknecht. She currently stands at 17 entering final match of the year. Her 41 saves this season gives her 195 for her career, third on the UC Davis all-time list. In 1998 she was honorable mention ALL-CCAA. Born in Sacramento, Kelly is majoring in exercise science.

Sonoma State - Amanda Perdue, Junior, Volleyball

As a transfer student from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Amanda is a setter and outside hitter. She was a multi-sport athlete at San Marcos High School where she earned MVP, 1st team All-Palomar League her senior season. She was all- league in soccer and voted Most Inspirational in softball.
