IUPUI women's tennis earns national academic honor

The 2004-05 IUPUI women’s tennis team was named an All-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). It was the second straight year that the women’s tennis team has received this award. In order to be eligible for the honor, a four-year program must have a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).
Members of the 2004-05 IUPUI women’s tennis team included: senior Michelle Cunningham (Sellersburg, Ind./Silver Creek/Kelley School of Business), juniors Mallory Stemle (Jasper, Ind./Jasper/Kelley School of Business) and Alyssa Halcomb (Camarillo, Calif./St. Bonaventure/University College), sophomores Tessa Williams (Jasper, Ind./Jasper/University College) and Nikki Evans (Harare, Zimbabwe/Carmel/Herron School of Art) and freshmen Andrea Burkhardt (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton S.E/School of Science), Meghan Dus (Evansville, Ind./Evansville North/School of Science) and Leah Taylor (Greenwood, Ind./Greenwood/University College).
Additionally, Dus and Taylor were named ITA Scholar-Athlete by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
