Southern Utah tops San Francisco, 9-7

| Southern Utah's Charlie Hahl | Southern Utah rallied for a 9-7 win over San Francisco Saturday. Mother Nature won three games on Saturday as the Jackson State-Centenary, Chicago State-Lipscomb and Western Illinois-Alabama A&M; contests were cancelled.

Centenary sweeps Jackson State; CSU, ORU and SUU post splits

| Southern Utah's Jeff Oliverson | Centenary continued its solid start to the 2006 campaign with a pair of wins over Jackson State Friday, 15-2 and 6-5. Southern Utah dropped the series opener against San Francisco, 9-2, but earned an 8-5 win in the nightcap. Oral Roberts started the day with a 5-1 win over Kansas State before falling to Texas-Arlington 7-5 in the afternoon. Chicago State opened its 2006 campaign with a doubleheader at Lipscomb. CSU lost the first game, 8-6, but rebounded for a 16-14 victory in the second game.

| Centenary's Matt Webb | Centenary jumped out to a 2-0 lead against #19/20 LSU with a run in each of the first two innings, but the Tigers offense proved to be too potent in a 15-3 win over the Gents.
