Valpo falls to Golden Bears in NCAA Tournament

Valparaiso played point-for-point with California in its NCAA first round matchup, but the Golden Bears prevailed over the Crusaders 30-26, 30-24, 30-21 Friday evening in Madison, Wis. The loss closes out the Crusaders’ season at 27-8.

Valparaiso draws California in the first round of NCAA Volleyball Tournament

Valparaiso, the 2005 Mid-Continent Conference Tournament champions, will face off against California in the first round of the 2005 NCAA Volleyball Tournament on Friday, Dec. 2, at 5 p.m., at the UW Field House on the campus of the University of Wisconsin. The winner of the Valpo-Cal match will play the winner of the Loyola (Ill.) and Wisconsin match in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. All three matches will take place in Madison, Wis.

Valparaiso falls to Marquette, awaits NCAA Tournament opponent on Sunday

Valparaiso came away with a split at the MU Battle for the Bird with a 3-0 loss to Marquette. The Crusaders will find out tomorrow at 2:30 their first-round opponent in the 2005 NCAA Tournament.

Valparaiso wins third-straight Mid-Con Volleyball Championship
2005 Mid-Continent Conference Volleyball Champions - Valparaiso University
Top-seeded Valparaiso won its third consecutive Mid-Continent Conference Volleyball Championship with a 3-1 victory over second-seeded Oral Roberts at the Athletics-Recreation Center on the campus of Valparaiso University. The victory clinched the third-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament for the Crusaders and was also the sixth overall Mid-Con Tournament titles for Valpo, which ties Oral Roberts for the most in league history.
