South Dakota State's Mark Garrigues and Oakland's Melissa Jaeger were selected as the Mid-Con Swimming & Diving Athletes of the Week after turning in solid performances last week.
MEN
Mark Garrigues, South Dakota State

Garrigues is the Men’s Athlete of the Week after a strong performance in a dual meet with IUPUI and Saint Louis. The freshman’s winning time of 1:55.86 in the 200 individual medley set a school record and is second-best in the Mid-Con this season. He also took home first-place in the 100 butterfly (52.90) and swam the lead leg of SDSU’s victory in the 200 freestyle relay.

WOMEN
Melissa Jaeger, Oakland

Jaeger is the Women’s Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week after a solid performance in a dual meet against Michigan State. The junior picked up a pair of wins in the 200 freestyle (1:55.53) and the 200 butterfly (2:07.20), while also swimming a leg for OU’s 200 medley relay team which finished second with a time of 1:49.13.
