IUPUI’s Mallory Stemle named Mid-Con Women’s Tennis Player of the Year

| IUPUI's Mallory Stemle | ELMHURST, ILL. - After leading IUPUI to a 17-8 mark and recording 17 singles wins, senior Mallory Stemle was named the 2006 Mid-Continent Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Year in a vote of the league’s head coaches. Chicago State picked up a major award as freshman Yosefin Rustandar claimed the Newcomer of the Year award, while Valparaiso head coach Tim Maluga garnered Coach of the Year accolades. The Crusaders placed five players on the league’s all-star teams to lead the Mid-Con, while IUPUI had three players honored with All-Conference recognition. Oral Roberts had two players claim All-Conference accolades, while Centenary, Chicago State and Southern Utah each had one player garner All Mid-Con honors.
