SB Nation: Of, By and For the Fans

Welcome to SB Nation

SB Nation is of, by and for the fans. As with the teams they cover, our blogs are nothing without fan participation and encouragement. We hope that you'll dive in with the tools we've provided and make these communities your own.

If you haven't done so yet, please sign up now!

Start Personalizing

To get started, customize your profile. Upload an avatar image, choose your favorite teams, and add a bio to introduce yourself. Once you're done, check out your profile page—it's a place to share your activity and personality with everyone.

On the settings screen, set your timezone and blog reading preferences, and choose which type of editor you prefer when writing posts.

Browse the Blogs

SB Nation isn't one site—it's a network of over 130 blogs covering many professional and college teams along with sports such as mixed martial arts and cycling. If you found us through the blogs about your favorite team, check out the blogs for rival teams, those in the same division, or other teams in other sports within the same city. Your SB Nation network account lets you participate in all of them.

If you were a member of some of our blogs back in the day, you can claim those accounts at any time to retain your content.

Join the Fray

When you're ready to start recommending, commenting and posting, join blogs. In SB Nation we believe every team and sport community is unique. Each blog sets its own guidelines for you to follow.

This keeps flame wars to a minimum so you can enjoy intelligent conversations on the subjects you care about. Every community moderates itself.

Your Neighborhood Bar

Join as many blogs as you like. The SB Nation Bar at the top of the screen makes it easy to explore the network. When logged in, check the 'My Blogs' menu to catch up on new posts in each community.

The bar also gives convenient access to your profile and profile... where the magic happens.

FanPosts - In Your Own Words

Every community encourages you to write your own blog posts. We call them FanPosts. If you have something to say about a trade, a game, a coach or last night's lousy lineup, take a few moments and express your thoughts in a FanPost. Once your FanPost is published to the blog's homepage, other blog members can recommend and respond to it.

FanShots - Share Your Discoveries

You know that video you found while searching YouTube for highlights of your favorite player? You don't need a full FanPost—the video speaks for itself. FanShots let you easily share quick hits like these with everyone on the blog.

Send videos, quotes, links, photos and chat transcripts to the frontpage of your community. You can even post that top 5 list you came up with on your lunch break.
