Scandal Report: Champagne Mania Makes for a Boozy Golden Globes

The Golden Globes are perhaps the most superficial of high-profile award shows. They are almost transparently so — the winners are honored, yes, but everyone's in on the charade. The awards go to some people but not others and everyone smiles and claps. The Golden Globes, then, are really just an excuse to play dress up. And the actual ceremony is only part of the fun, what with the preparties, afterparties and after-after parties. They might have been held all the way out in sunny L.A., but of course our beloved gossip columns Gatecrasher and Page Six stalked the stars and committed the hottest stories to ink.
