It’s a midweek night of live music, beginning with the Codi Jordan Band—the feel-good self-described “folk-hop-reggae-rock” band from Salt Lake City—at Beauty Bar. (517 E. Chicago rockers Plain White T’s (pictured)—of “Hey There, Delilah,” and “Hate (I Really Don’t Like You)” fame—lead the crowd in a punk-rock infused jump-and-dance-a-thon at House of Blues. And for some extra late-night madness, scenester hip-hopper Kid Sister guarantees to pack the room at Ghostbar’s most-talked-about party, Snitch. It’s McFadden’s Three-Year Birthday Bash, and you’re invited! Partiers born in January drink for free from 10 p.m.–midnight, and everyone can enjoy $3 shots of Irish whiskey and beer and partake in a killer cupcake eating contest. (In the Rio, doors 11 a.m., event 8 p.m., men $25, women $15.) Legends of punk rock Social Distortion band together with Lucero and Chuck Ragan and kick off their tour for their album, Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, released Jan. 18. Rock ’n’ Roll Wine will hold its first soiree of the year at Ovation with more than 30 wines for the tasting, and not-to-miss performances by Imagine Dragons and Steel Panther. Come sail away with the legendary ’80s rockers Styx at the House of Blues. (In Mandalay Bay, doors 8 p.m., tickets start at $50, ages 21+.) Let ’60s heartthrob and former front man of the Monkees, Davy Jones, backed by Paul Revere and the Raiders, channel the daydream believer inside of you. And if you fancy monkeying around of a different sort, Lavo’s seductive and steamy Erotica Ball is hosted by Dave Navarro (pictured) in honor of AVN weekend. Be among the first to check out the brand-new Marquee Nightclub & Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan before the grand opening on New Year’s Eve as Marquee welcomes the EC Twins (pictured) and local fave DJ Chris Garcia to its spanking-new decks for a preview party. (Doors 10 p.m., $35 tickets available at WantTickets.com.) Toast National Eggnog Day at Blue Martini (doors 4 p.m., no cover,) where you can also take in the 24th annual Matzo Ball, which begins at 8 p.m. Sure, it costs $30 to get into that one, but it does include hors d’oeuvres and a free drink. Or, do a mitzvah on the Strip by stopping by Rockhouse Bar & Nightclub’s Never a Silent Night party, where you can enjoy free cover and open bar package from 9 p.m.-midnight in return for your donation of a nonperishable food item to Three Square. Forget the WSOP; it’s World Series of Beer Pong time, and it all goes down at the Flamingo, with UFC/MMA announcer Bruce Buffer (pictured) presiding. The contest runs Jan. 1-5—and it’s free to watch. Meanwhile, the B-side gets a second chance at Rockhouse, during the “second-best beer pong competition in Las Vegas.” The Rockhouse Cup offers teams that flunked out of the actual WSOBP a chance at $5,000, plus two-for-one beers and $20 pitchers with their credentials. Get ready for some football as Playboy Club hosts its occasional Monday Night footy-and-bunny party, starting at 5 p.m. This week, the Minnesota Vikings take on the Chicago Bears, and all the action will be shown on the club’s 30 flat-screen TVs. Meanwhile, there’s no cover, Miller beer specials, and a $7 game-day menu from Nove Italiano. Santa has the night off, but Moosey Claus—a.k.a. Jet marketing manager Mustafa “Moose Diesel” Abdi—is hard at work, in search of the sexiest Mrs. Claus. Got what it takes to jingle his bells? You could go home with $5,000. Merry Christmas, indeed! The girls of Crazy Horse III are used to hearing guys shout “Show us your cans,” but tonight that’s your job, as the gentlemen’s club hosts a holiday food drive. Show them your cans—of nonperishable food items—then take advantage of the open bar and complimentary sushi 9-11 p.m. (3525 W. Russell Road., 24/7, no cover.) The Palms goes country for NFR as Miranda Lambert (pictured) plays The Pearl. She’s no Taylor Swift, but she does have a famous +1. The future Mrs. Blake Shelton joins openers Eric Church and Josh Kelley onstage at 10 p.m. ($45-$79.) Need one more reason to be thankful? How about two? Tao combines two holidays into one party as it hosts a holiday toy drive on Thanksgiving night during its annual Terminate the Turkey party. KLUC 98.5-FM Morning Zoo personality Chet Buchanan kicks off the Toys-for-Tots program, which gives back to those who donate with an open bar 10-11 p.m. Meanwhile, a portion of the night’s cover supports the worthy cause.
