Everyone knows Valentine’s Day is really for the ladies. Men, you have only this weekend to make those romantic wishes come true. So here’s the deal: Two shops inside Emergency Arts (520 E. Fremont St.) are making the hunt easy and inexpensive. La Flor Argentina offers handmade, crocheted pieces, including bags and headbands, for 20 percent off through the holiday. Downstairs at Flockflockflock, peruse the half-off rack for spring vintage fashions ($7-$15).

Skaught (pronounced Scott) likes to go against the grain himself. “A friend of mine in high school invented the ‘new’ spelling of my name and it just stuck,” he says, “so I legally changed it.”

One of the best parts about working in the beauty industry is that I am constantly challenged. Not a day goes by that I don’t pick up a new technique or learn about an awesome new product.
