(In the Palazzo, doors 10 p.m., $20 cover, local ladies free.) New York City nightlife legends Fischerspooner make a monumental Las Vegas splash as they take over Clash Fridays at Rain. (In the Palms, doors 10 p.m. cover $25.) Head down under tonight when Australia’s biggest name, Dirty South, brings his electro beats to Marquee. (In the Cosmopolitan, doors 9:30 p.m., $30 cover.)

It’s always a party in Sin City, but it’s Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and it’s transported to McFadden’s for a Bourbon Street Bash with an open bar from 8-10 p.m. for $15 and continuing from 10 p.m.-1 a.m. $20 for women, $30 for men. (Doors 11 a.m., no cover.) Tribefest, a three-day conference and celebration of Jewish music, food, art and culture held at Mandalay Bay, holds a kickoff party tonight at Surrender. And finally, Paris debuts Vegas’ newest gorgeous club on the Boulevard, Chateau, with a performance by hip-hop phenom Drake as DJ Samantha Ronson kicks off her Vegas residency. Legendary ’70s country rockers the Marshall Tucker Band, loved for their anthem “Can’t You See,” trek to the desert to perform their old-time rock ’n’ roll. You’ve seen ’em around the Hard Rock (and probably been in the way of their camera crew), well, now it’s finally time for the 25th season of The Real World to debut. Tonight the cast celebrates at the hotel where they once lived with an event called Dorm Days. (Event begins at 2 a.m., rooms are $59 with code dorm11.)

It’s no joke that $20,000 is on the line to find the world’s best flair bartender. Rock & Rita’s will host the qualifying round for the Big Kahuna Flair Smackdown III, followed by the final round 8 p.m. March 8 at Treasure Island. (In Circus Circus, 6 p.m., no cover.) Todd Hannigan, the multitalented writer, musician and producer of award-winning surf films, is joined by the Heavy 29s for what should be an enlightening performance at Book & Stage. The 702 may be stacked with Fat Tuesdays, but today marks the holiday for the original Fat Tuesday, Mardi Gras en francais, which originated as the last night to celebrate before fasting for Lent. Throw your beads in the air—but not your drinks—from the 10 p.m.-midnight open bar during PBR Rock Bar’s crazy celebration (In Planet Hollywood, doors 11 a.m., event at 10 p.m., open bar is $10 for women, $20 for men and $5 women, $10 men with a college ID, no cover) or don your most decorated mask for Blue Martini’s Martini Gras Fat Tuesday with a 10 p.m. bead toss.
