What is your comments monitoring policy? What about censorship or freedom of speech/opinion/expression in your comments area?

We will remove comments that are abusive or threatening, and we may also choose at our discretion to remove comments that are off-topic. If you think a comment is inappropriate, you may click to report it to our monitors for review.

Posting comments on AOL News is a privilege, not a right. As the owner of this Web site, AOL News is within its rights to choose what appears on it. AOL News is not, however, in the practice of removing comments -- even opinion that may be unpopular or objectionable to some -- as long as they fit the criteria of being non-abusive, non-threatening and on topic.
