Snow bunnies, throw on your winter wardrobe because it’s time to dominate the slopes at Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort. Every Thursday through March, the lodge hosts Ski Divas, where women 21 and up are invited to improve their skiing or boarding skills with two-hour group lessons and a cozy wine and appetizer mingle afterward. Lessons are $60 or $200 for four sessions. Also, don’t miss the resort’s radical deals (kicking off March 12) on powder play for the rest of the season: $50 for an adult day pass, and $150 for a Sunshine card, allowing full ski and snowboarding access. Check out downtown’s newest attraction, Theatre 7, featuring a fine arts gallery, a movie theater showcasing independently produced local films, and a theater for performance art. Tonight the new arthouse screens I.M. Caravaggio, presented by Vegaswood Studios, which will be shown throughout March, as well as Thor at the Bus Stop. Tickets for films are $7 and include complimentary popcorn, candy and beverages. The gallery, meantime, features art by Vegas visionaries Lynne Jordan, Kelly Haugh and Darryl Martin. It’s finally that time of year again; Brew’s Best Hand-Crafted Beer Festival! Lake Las Vegas’ cobblestone streets will be lined with booths of more than 50 local and regional breweries. Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Richard Marx performs his plethora of hits at the Orleans Showroom tonight. The Chicago-based musician is the first artist to have more than seven songs in the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Along with fame and awards for hits such as “Endless Summer Nights” and “Right Here Waiting,” Marx has collaborated with music legends like Billy Joel, Gladys Knight and Kenny Rogers, and he has written and produced for N’Sync and Keith Urban. All month long, the fountain in the Miracle Mile Shops will run orange water in honor of National Multiple Sclerosis Education and Awareness Month. All wishes made in the fountain will be donated to the society’s Nevada chapter. It’s been more than 10 years since Celine Dion made the world swoon with Titanic’s theme song, “My Heart Will Go On,” and almost five years since her previous Las Vegas show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The Grammy award-winning sensation is back with a Vegas residency, Celine, beginning tonight. She will perform more than 70 times a year over the next three years at the Colosseum.
