A disappointment from start to finish, Greg Mottola’s alien spoof comedy is dead on arrival. Two genial Brits, Clive (Nick Frost) and Greame (Simon Pegg) go on holiday in America and meet Paul, a textbook alien (performed in motion-capture by Seth Rogen) who has just escaped a secret imprisonment on Earth. The friends try to deliver Paul to his “people.” The comedy perks up when the trio meets a cute but naive creationist (Kristen Wiig).
