Trash films are low-budget affairs that gleefully transgress all the conventions on religious, sexuality, violence, and hygiene that middleclass, mainstream audiences hold dear to their hearts. For examples John Waters -- the Orson Welles of the trash flick -- in his trash masterpiece Pink Flamingoes features such highlights as a singing anus, baby-stealing lesbians, and coprophagy.
