3Those who shudder at the mere mention of Demon's Souls - perhaps the most punishing game of its generation - will be far from thrilled to hear director Hidetaka Miyazaki say: "I have no intention to make [Dark Souls] any easier. In fact, I want it to be more difficult...we are trying to make the most difficult game it is possible to make." This spiritual sequel - which thankfully drops its predecessor's confusing apostrophe - is out for Xbox 360 and PS3 in October.
Namco Bandai confirms the even hardercore Demon's Souls spiritual successor will come out in Europe on October 7, in the US on October 4 and in Japan on September 15.
2From Software's follow-up to Demon's Souls aims to be the "most difficult game that it is possible to make."
