WRC 2

You'd think I'd learn, but a love of the sport and an overly optimistic outlook on racing games always interferes with common sense, so I splashed out on this yesterday.

Remember how last year's iteration looked like an original Xbox game, all the tracks were far too wide and bore only a passing resemblence to the countries they were set in, it resurrected the old "pole through the car attached to elastic bands at either end" physics and the car modelling looked like a first year CAD student had been given them as homework but spent most of the development time in the pub? Well, for the sequel, see above, but add a stupid sepia tone to every stage. Even the snowy ones.

WRC2=WRC with more brown. You have been warned. Hope you appreciate my sacrifice. Go on without me, save yourselves.

Looks like someone needs to do a general racing thread so this sort of thing can go in there rather than have threads for rubbish games.

Let he who is without sin kick the first ass.

Last one was the worst racing game of this generation.

I did read a review somewhere that said as much, I'm guessing this has only appeared as part of a legal obligation to the WRC. Releasing it the same week as Forza 4 makes the mind boggle.

The problem with a general racing thread is that even the smaller stuff usually gets a bit of a following round here. This obviously isn't going to take off, but it would probably just have been added to the thread for the last game on the old forum.

Aye, it'll be a licensing thing, like how Codies are locked into one-year cycles with the F1 license. A general racing thread would just be carnage, too.

It's got a friend now.

Mind you, it's not as bad as Fuel. Now that WAS rubbish.
