For You Sing a Song and I'll Sing a Song, noted folk singer and teacher Ella Jenkins is joined by young members of the Urban Gateways Children's Chorus. It features Jenkins' familiar mix of call-and-response, historical, or worldly songs, and plenty of fun in the form of snapping fingers, clapping hands, and stamping feet. Jenkins' youthful companions will also help children at home follow along. Standouts include the title track, "Shabot Shalom," "Maori Battle Chant," and "Did You Feed My Cow?," which appears in two helpful versions.
