synopsis
This popular public television series uses a good dose of humor to deliver a huge amount of science information. Host James Burke finds that seemingly unrelated events throughout history are connected in significant ways. He leads the viewer through a labryinth of these events, much like a series of dots which he proceeds to connect in an entertaining fashion. In Connections 3: A Special Place, he goes back four hundred years to follow sleuths through Dutch wind tunnels, which somehow lead to Caribbean smugglers, bird painters, and Russian mystery.
