Three major buildings are located in the Cass Park Historic District: the Detroit Masonic Temple (on the north side; built in 1926), the S. S. Kresge World Headquarters (on the west side; built in 1928), and the newer Cass Technical High School (on the southside; built in 2005).[2] Other buildings in the district include a large Victorian house, 1890s-1920s apartment buildings, and a hotel.[3] The park itself is a formal square with angled paths and scattered statues.[2]
