[edit] Detroit Edison Plaza

Detroit Edison Plaza (Walker Lee Cisler Building aka WCB) is a large skyscraper. It is often referred to as "DTE Energy Building", from a large neon sign on the building's top floor. That is incorrect, however, as a nearby building is the actual DTE Energy Building. It was constructed in 1971, and contains 25 floors, reaching a height of 374 feet (114 m). It is built in the International style of architecture. It is composed of steel, with many glass windows. It bears an architectural resemblance to the nearby State of Michigan Plaza. In 2007, DTE announced a major transformation of the area around its downtown headquarters into an urban oasis with parks, walkways, and a reflecting pool adjacent to the MGM Grand Detroit.[1]

[edit] DTE Energy Building

The DTE Energy Building (General Offices aka GO) is located at 1 Energy Plaza in downtown Detroit, between Beech Street and West Elizabeth Street.

It was constructed in 1921, and stands at nine stories in height. The building is used primarily for offices, and was designed in the renaissance revival arechitectural style. It is now a part of the DTE Energy Headquarters complex of buildings. it also stands next to the Detroit Edison Company Service Building.

[edit] Detroit Edison Company Service Building

This lowrise building stands at 6 floors in height, and was completed in 1938. It stands on Beech Street, at the corner of Beech and 3rd Street, just across from the Detroit Edison Plaza, and next to the DTE Energy Building.
