Eastern Daylight Time

Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) is four hours behind Greenwich Mean Time and is observed during daylight saving time for 8 months each year in the Eastern Time Zone (North America). It begins on the second Sunday in March, when clocks are advanced from 2:00 A.M. EST to 3:00 A.M. EDT. It ends on the first Sunday in November when clocks are moved back from 2:00 A.M. (EDT) to 1:00 A.M. (EST).
