WDMJ (1320 AM) and WIAN (1240 AM), The Talk of Marquette, are a pair of radio stations broadcasting a news-talk format. WDMJ broadcasts to listeners in the Marquette, Michigan area, while WIAN is a simulcast to the Ishpeming, Michigan area. WDMJ has been broadcasting for several decades and was originally owned by The Mining Journal, Marquette's daily newspaper (with DMJ standing for Daily Mining Journal). It began broadcasting in 1931 as Marquette's first radio station with call sign WBEO, later changing to WDMJ.
