Southern Michigan is located between the Western and Southeastern regions of Michigan.

Southern Michigan is a loosely defined geographic area of the Lower Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. Southern Michigan may be referred to as a sub-region or component area to the larger geographic regions of Central Michigan, West Michigan, and Southeast Michigan.

Southern Michigan is a region of rolling farmland and scattered urban centers. It is commonly considered to be the area west of Washtenaw County and east of Kalamazoo County. This area consists of Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Jackson, and everything to the south. The largest city is Kalamazoo, by other definitions will include Lansing as part of this region, and would therefore be the largest city in it. Other main cities include Albion, Battle Creek, Coldwater, Hillsdale, and Jackson.
