I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Stumbled across it at a used book shop prior to a trip to the Keweenaw Peninsula where I wanted to explore the geology of the region. I’m interested in geology, but don’t work in it or have formal training. The book provided a lot of information and interesting history without becoming too technical for someone like me, and includes explanations (and a great glossary) for geological terms where appropriate.
Very enjoyable read and increased my appreciation for the area.
