Morris Blogs

Morris students studying abroad through the Morocco: History, Story, Myth course are examining multiple populations who have lived in this country, a site of cultural intersection and melange. They are experiencing history and learning about methods of telling stories: orality, literature, weaving, ceramics, and music. Visit their blog to see and read about Casablanca, camel rides, Sahara fires, and Arabic classes.

Students enrolled in York: Life in a Medieval City are studying literary and historical texts produced in and near York during the Middle Ages. They are exploring the material and intellectual contexts in which these texts—a saint's life, chronicles, religious and secular poetry, a Norse saga, letters, and public documents— were produced and initially received. Visit their blog to see and read about visiting medieval sites and Gothic cathedrals.

Enjoy a blog recording the events and opportunities enjoyed by students enrolled in the inaugural Summer Transition for English Language and Liberal Arts Readiness (STELLAR) program, designed to provide incoming University of Minnesota, Morris international students with a holistic approach to living and attending college in an English speaking country.
