Charles Scott Abbott is the co-inventor of Trivial Pursuit [1] along with Chris Haney.[2]

Known as "Scott," he was the owner of the Brampton Battalion hockey team, of the Ontario Hockey League.[3] For his work in building this hockey club, he was inducted into the Brampton Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.[4]

Born in Montreal, Quebec, before he became wealthy through the invention of Trivial Pursuit, Scott Abbott was a sports journalist for Canadian Press.

He owns C. Scott Abbott Racing Stable Ltd. whose horse Smart Sky [5] finished seventh in the 2010 Queen's Plate.[6][7]
