THECOOLTV is a United States over-the-air digital subchannel launched in March 2009. The network's current program schedule consists of an all-music video lineup that can be customized to meet an affiliate's preference, along with the three hours per week of E/I programming as required by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC); musically-oriented films and full-length concerts are possible future additions to the schedule.
The network is owned and operated by Cool Music Network, LLC of Lawrence, Kansas. In addition to the network, the company also distributes recorded music and performances through digital cable/satellite channels and post-concert CDs at music venues. [1]

TheCoolTV's carriage consists of terrestrial digital television subchannels and cable television in the United States media markets listed in the linked article, the first of which was WTMJ-TV, which added TheCoolTV to subchannel 4.3 on July 8, 2009. A large portion of the list consists of stations owned and/or operated by Journal Communications, Sinclair Broadcast Group, and LIN TV[2][3][4] The affiliate roster will grow in the coming months with help from an affiliation deal with 3 stations operated by McGraw-Hill.[5]. On April 05, 2011, CoolTV signed an affiliate agreement with Newport Television for carriage on 10 of their 22 stations.[6]
Stations affiliated with TheCoolTV can cross-promote the network in association with local radio stations; for example, WTMJ-TV markets TheCoolTV as a complement to its sister radio station, adult hits-formatted WLWK-FM (promoted as "TheCoolTV, hosted by 94-5 Lake FM").
In September 2011 however, Journal announced that they would file a lawsuit against the parent company of TheCoolTV for non-payment of broadcast services; so far Journal has decided to replace the Milwaukee version with Live Well Network and in Green Bay, with Me-TV, as of October 1, 2011 [7][8][9].
