Role of the United Kingdom in the War in Afghanistan (2001–present)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The British Armed Forces have played a substantial part in the Afghanistan War. British efforts in Afghanistan are huge and are second only to the U.S only due to the size of their presence. President Obama has previously said Britain and America are the only countries doing the 'dirty work' in Afghanistan.[1]
British forces are due to withdraw from Afghanistan between 2011 and 2014.[2]
