Eastern Daylight Time

Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) is four hours behind Greenwich Mean Time and is observed during daylight saving time for eight months each year in the Eastern Time Zone (North America). It begins on the second Sunday in March, when clocks are advanced from 2:00 a.m. EST to 3:00 a.m. EDT. It ends on the first Sunday in November, when clocks are moved back from 2:00 a.m. EDT to 1:00 a.m. EST.
