review
Bar/None's second collection of Esquivel tracks from the '60s, Music From A Sparkling Planet isn't quite as infectiously listenable as Space Age Bachelor Pad Music, containing nothing quite as mind-bending as the best moments of the first compilation. Nevertheless, there is plenty of wonderful music to found on the album, even though most of it sounds like pleasant soundtrack or elevator music, devoid of much of the quirkiness that fueled Space Age.
