Ways to search Wikipedia with Google Using the advanced settings of Google, you can use it to search Wikipedia much more effectively than Wikipedia's search box. Simply enter the desired search term(s) at Google, then go to Google's advanced search screen and insert Wikipedia's URL (web address) into the "Domain" box, and click "Google search." Or, you can limit Google searches to Wikipedia by including this in your search string: site:en.wikipedia.org. Or you can provide a link on a Wikipedia page to a specific Google search of Wikipedia like this (this example searches for "Tip of the day" on Wikipedia: google:Tip+of+the+day+site:en.wikipedia.org.
