MPR News editor Toni Randolph will speak with Sonia Nazario on the topic of immigration.

Sonia Nazario, a projects reporter for the Los Angeles Times, has spent more than two decades reporting and writing about social issues, earning her dozens of national awards. The newspaper series upon which Enrique's Journey is based won the Pulitzer Prize for feature writing, the George Polk Award for International Reporting, and the Grand Prize of the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Awards. Nazario grew up in Kansas and Argentina. She is a graduate of Williams College and has a master's degree in Latin American studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband.

Tom Crann will speak with David Frum on the topic of "America after the election: Can we get anything done?"

David Frum is a contributing editor at Newsweek and The Daily Beast and a CNN contributor. He is the author of seven books, including most recently, his first novel Patriots, published in April 2012. In 2001-2002, he served as speechwriter and special assistant to President George W. Bush. He serves on the board of the Republican Jewish Coalition and is a frequent contributor to National Public Radio. He is a columnist for Canada's National Post and Italy's Il Foglio and a regular contributor to American Public Media's Marketplace. In 2005, he formed and led the group Americans for Better Justice, which spearheaded the opposition to the nomination of Harriet Miers to the U.S. Supreme Court. In 2007 and 2008, he was a senior policy adviser to the Rudy Giuliani presidential campaign.

About the Series

The Broadcast Journalist Series commissions journalists and correspondents for a 24-hour residency four times a year. While here, they share their insights on their craft as well as on people and events that affect them professionally. Starting this season, the series features an exciting addition, the pairing of our national guests with Minnesota Public Radio hosts. Each Broadcast Journalist Series guest will be paired with a MPR host emphasizing Minnesota Public Radio's role in the national dialogue.
