Dave Peters is the editorial director of special projects, overseeing Ground Level, MPR News' project covering topics that involve people taking action to improve the quality of life in their communities. He began work for MPR in 2009. Before that he spent more than 30 years as a newspaper reporter and editor, including stints as the senior editor for local news at the St. Paul Pioneer Press and as the nation-world editor for the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
