Jake Rudh is host of "Transmission," the program heard on 89.3 The Current every Thursday night at 10pm. Jake has worked in music for over 20 years most recently with alternative favorites REV 105 and Radio K. For the past 10 years, he has been voted "best club DJ" in the Twin Cities by the readers of City Pages magazine and brings the varied mix of the club nights to the airwaves each Thursday night with a different theme to the show. Being named after the Joy Division classic, the program is heavily centered around new wave and British pop and Jake will often host in-studio sessions and interview musicians from those worlds...most recently Duran Duran's John Taylor, synth-pioneer Thomas Dolby and Talking Heads & Tom Tom Club co-founder Chris Frantz.
