Engineering

Causes.com engineers are an elite, close-knit A-Team of big thinkers, night owls, and weekend rock climbers. Every day our programmers take on a series of tech challenges together; walk around the Causes.com office and you'll see developers pairing together and sharing tips. iOS Developer

Causes is looking for the first iOS developer to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to have your code impact millions of people all over the world. Causes is the world's largest platform for civic engagement and activism. We are working to empower anyone, anywhere to build movements for change by bringing together like-minded friends and supporters to take strategic collective action that produces a measurable, real-world impact. Responsibilities

  • Help design and build our first iOS application

Requirements

  • You built an iOS application that is on sale in Apple's App Store
  • You find fulfillment in building great products
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to learn from and teach others on the team
  • You have at least three years of experience building iOS applications
  • You have at least three years of experience building web applications
  • Fluent in a *nix development environment

Bonus Points

  • Experience with UX design

DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with software engineering to design robust, scalable server infrastructure
  • Develop tools and systems to manage and monitor production environment

Requirements

  • Deep knowledge of shell scripting, and unix philosophy
  • Deep knowledge of networking, i.e., switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Knowledge of Linux system internals

Product Manager

Data Analyst

Causes is looking for a data analyst to join our growing data team. Successful individuals in this role are expected to be comfortable developing good analyses, models, and code. The ideal candidate is able to create cohesive analyses, reports, and narratives based on rigorous quantitative research and insightful qualitative observations.

Responsibilities

  • Create reports and analyses for various cross-functional teams in the company
  • Maintain dashboards and automated reporting for business stakeholders
  • Use disparate data sources to create models to explain our past and predict our future
  • Advise and inform company decisions based on data

Requirements

  • A technical or numerate degree (Math, CS, Physics, Statistics, Engineering, etc.), or significant relevant experience in data.
  • Familiarity with databases and database structures
  • Fluency with relational databases and SQL
  • Experience in a statistical programming language: R, Matlab, SAS, Python (w/SciPy), etc.
  • Comfort with a scripting language: Ruby, Python, PHP, etc.
  • Ability to communicate quantitative analyses in a concise manner to nontechnical audiences

We are seeking a creative copywriter who has a knack for writing clear, compelling product copy. The copywriter will work closely with all product development teams and will tackle a variety of writing projects. This is an opportunity to refine the voice of Causes and inspire our users to take action and create real change in the world.

Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing will be responsible for marketing Causes to end users, partners, and customers on a worldwide basis. The Director of Marketing will support the team in brand management and product launches through collaboration with our Business Development, Product, and Campaigns teams to ensure that we have consistent branding plans and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Work with key internal stakeholders to identify core values and develop brand identity and messaging
  • Define and execute innovative brand strategies to drive engagement and product adoption
  • Develop marketing plans for partners and customers; be accountable for driving plans through to implementation
  • Design and execute on integrated marketing campaigns to drive user acquisition and engagement and communicate marketing strategy to executive management at Causes
  • Plan and manage the company's marketing budget

Requirements

Campaigns

Campaigns Manager

We are seeking a Campaigns Manager to join our team. The Campaigns Manager will support the Campaigns Director in sourcing and designing campaigns to be featured on causes.com.

The Campaigns Manager will:

  • Identify leads from within the Causes platform and research external opportunities for campaigns that have a significant chance for offline impact across issue areas
  • Develop strategic communications plans for promoting promising campaigns through Causes distribution channels, including email to Causes users, homepage promotion, and Causes social media assets
  • Manage external organizers to execute campaigns by providing strategic guidance on how to best use the Causes platform to drive action taking
  • Identify and develop best practices through close project management of campaigns on Causes

We are seeking a strong, experienced leader to help build and manage its sales team, selling Causes’ advertising solutions to Fortune 500 clients. This is an amazing opportunity for a driven individual to build a high performing team from the ground up, and play the central role in shaping the sales force behind the largest online platform for giving and one of the most highly trafficked sites on the internet. With 150 million users, Causes is a well-funded, highly-publicized social media juggernaut, and the Director of Sales will be able to leverage these assets as they scale their team and craft branded products. Ideal candidates will have extensive sales management experience and excellent experience selling multi-platform marketing solutions to brands and agencies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of media sales experience and 4+ years of management experience
