Well, I liked Cain in "Robocop 2", can't blame the bad CGI...it's been a while since the movie was made. I also like the Creeper in "Jeepers Creepers" and especially Über-Jason in "Jason X"...what a brainless, but fun movie. Gets too less love. Another guilty-pleasure missing here: "Commando" ... a fun movie. But Bennett always seemed a little fatty and not really threatening for me. But at least he served as a good victim for one of Arnies most famous one-liners: Let off some steam, Bennett!

Bit crass to comment on Raul Julia looking ill in Street Fighter given the man died just after completing filming.

Yeah, the fact that Raul Julia WAS terminally ill during Streetfighter makes it all the more tragic and TF's dig is just disrespectful.

Few more things.. 1) This is the second article in as many days to feature Jack Frost raping a woman. (you really guys need to get out more). 2) My god, Jeremy Irons has been in a lot of shyte. 3) Complaining that Ivan Ooze is rubbish in a film about POWER RANGERS is kind of pointless. and yes I can't believe he is played by Belloq either! 4) Its fair to assume that Raimi hated the fact that Venom was imposed on his film by the studios, that he went out of his way to ruin the character. 5) Drake in Blade: Trinity is nowhere as bad as Richard Roxburgh in Van Helsing. Combined with ropey effects, roaring and strutting, Roxburghs Dracula is so OTT he is practically on Mars!

What was so bad about The Red Faced Demon, or The Kreeper? And Thulsa Doom was an excellent villian!! I think that you're really "reaching" on this top 50 Total Film!!!!

Sorry Josh, inserting the word "sadly" doesn't really take away from the fact that its a pretty crappy thing to use to criticise him in a throwaway website list. Julia was lumbered with a terrible script, imaginationless direction, and having to act against some truly poor performers - no amount of 'presence' could have saved the role. On some of the other points, Bullseye was the best thing about Daredevil with Farrell's deliciously over the top delivery being hugely entertaining. Thulsa Doom in Conan is also brilliant - James Earl Jones delivers some lines that would make lesser actors weep with cracking authority and makes Doom a bad b*****d. No argument about Nuclear Man though, he really was terrible.

Ok, so I guess I'm the only one to step up for Dennis Nedry? He's great in Jurassic Park, playing the bumbling dufus perfectly. He's fat, ungainly and very non-threatening to look at, the complete opposite of the creatures his scheming has released upon the heroes. And also what IT nerd have you ever met that gives a hoot for anything other than IT? Nedry couldn't care less about dinosaurs. He's hired for his IT skills and it would be quite out of character for him to know what a Dilophosarus is..

Sorry total film but this list is weak. Too many bad choices too early. Urban Legend villain was good for the genre as was Green Goblin. I dont know what your criteria is but it was weak on this one, usually I agree but not this time. And I second, third, quadtruple the flames for getting on Julia for Street Fighter. Disrespectful and unnecessary.

NIce one Josh Winning, wish more sites could man-up (hello, Yahoo). Anyway, I thought Whiplash from Iron Man 2 would be here, he spends the whole movie building a powersuit and gets pasted within 5 minutes! Also, (as Cracked pointed out) Stark LEAVES the army of killer robots to massacre the poplace. W.T.F.

I thought this list was gonna be a bit more clever and consist of awful villians like Irina Spalko. (Cate Blanchet) in Inde 4 and General Grevious (seriously, he's a droid with a throat infection). Instead, we're getting a purple monster from Power Rangers and King Koopa, and the fat guy from Jurassic Park isn't exactly what springs to mind when you think, 'Movie Villian'. Seriously these top 50 lists are getting worse and worse, just make it top 15 or 10 and go into a bit more detail

I'm sorry, but any list that includes "Mr. Freeze" as the third worst movie villain and doesn't even MENTION Uma Thurman's terrible performance as Poison Ivy loses a lot of credibility. At least Arnold was ACTING, even having one or two moments of genuine emotion. He was let down by the script, but he (at the very least) tried his best. Aside from Michael Gough, he's the best part of the movie. Uma Thurman was just awful, awful, awful.

I thought the Creeper was genuinely scary for the first half of the first film, but when you found out about his wings and saw him up close it did become a bit of a joke. @Bandit 1 - good shout with Bennett. He has to be the least threatening, most overly-camp action-movie villain ever. I always thought he looked like a fat Freddie Mercury

Good shout on the demon from Insidious. That film made me laugh out loud in aaaallll the wrong places. And @SiMan agreed on the creeper. He was much more threatening when you had no idea what he was. The big cheesy evil grin ruins it slightly.

Total film i am disappointment that you have included Thulsa Doom as one of the worst villains ever are you serious Thulsa Doom was perfectly played by James Earl Jones when he chops off conans mums head only demonstrates how evil this man really is also the scene where one of his followers commits suicide shows how much power he has and the speech were he says how much power he has and not even remembering killing conan's mother was done perfectly he was bloody terrifying in the movie confused by your choice here should be removed from this list.
