First trailer for Scary Movie 5: watch now

Dear oh dear…

Scary Movie 5 has released a first official trailer online, and as you might have expected, the format has started to wear a little thin…

The new film focuses on a Paranormal Activity style set-up, but instead of really going after the increasingly hoary found footage genre, most of the jokes here seem to revolve around people getting smacked in the groin.

The much-publicised cameo featuring Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan is duly touched upon, although when you see what poor old Sheen is reduced to here, you’ll probably wish it wasn’t.

Take a look (if you can stomach it) below…

Good to see the Scary Movie tradition of crowbarring totally incongruous spoofs (Inception, anyone?) into the mix is still present and correct. No wonder Anna Faris decided enough was enough when it came to round five…

Directed by Malcolm D. Lee and co-starring Ashley Tisdale, Terry Crew and Heather Locklear, Scary Movie 5 will open in the UK on 12 April 2013.

I wouldn't watch it for free. Seltzer and Friedberg are the unfunniest clowns in the entire history of Cinema, but they don't care since they are making a mint. But they WILL care when their kids starting telling them how sh/t their entire cinematic output is. "I don't get it, dad" "Its a reference to Britney Spears having a meltdown!" " But she has hair" "Yeah ..but she shaved it off years ago, huh? Thats hilarious right?" "Why?" "Well..well..it was funny at the time!" "At the time? " "THATS THE JOKE OK? "

I guess Lindsay Lohan has joined Charlie Sheen in not giving a damn about her career as she has to pay off expensive lawsuits and drug dealers. Thank you Scary Movie franchise, for giving complete f**k ups a toilet with which to flush their careers down.
