Play it Forward: Donations now accepted

Classical Minnesota Public Radio wants to keep music education strong in Minnesota. That's why there's Play It Forward, the statewide musical instrument drive organized by Classical MPR in partnership with the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA). This November, people across Minnesota will be encouraged to donate clean, gently used and playable instruments to Play It Forward. The donations will be given to school music programs in need of instruments, especially as a help for kids who can't otherwise afford them. Make plans now to participate as you look ahead to the 2012 — 2013 school year.

Donate your once-loved but no-longer-used musical instruments

Breathe fresh life into once-loved instruments by donating them to Play It Forward, the statewide used-instrument drive created by Classical Minnesota Public Radio and the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA).

Bring your clean, gently-used and playable instruments to Play It Forward sites across the state. Schools are in need of any classroom instruments: woodwinds, brass, strings, snare drums, acoustic guitars, recorders, hand drums, etc. We'll put them in the hands of kids at schools throughout Minnesota.

Donations will be accepted November 1—30.
