I love Ethan Hawke's "Acting" face on number 12. ACT Ethan, ACT like you've never ACTED before.

@ChrisWootton - Seems to have paid off, Sinister's had some really good buzz from FrightFest. Maybe he should try the acting face more often.

Yeah I'm looking forward to that one. Just love it when actors "act" looking at things of importance.. the same as watching them "acting" asleep

"Get the hankies ready", I've had those hankies with me for 4 years because that dire franchise just won't seem to end.

A little sad to see Silent Hill: Revelation wasn't on the list. Only film apart from the Hobbit I want to see in the cinema this year

reading the first half of this list was painful . honestly, TF need to re-evaluate this "TOP 50" listing stuff. This list would have been better if it had been a top 20 or top ten. That way there wouldnt have been as much impetus to include a lot of s**te such as RE5. Quality control TF, get to it. Of course RE5 could be the greatest film ever, but judging by the past efforts and the trailer and the creative team behind it, I doubt it very much.

I think ' Best' is a bit optimistic considering 'Resident Evil: Retribution' is listed. Some of these will be two stars at best. OOps now I've done it. :)

"Get the hankies ready"? The only need for a hankie I can think of would be if I somehow woke up (having been drugged) in a cinema playing the execrable, miserable excuse for a movie and my kidnapper would use it to gag me in an effort to silence my screams of "What the Hell are you people doing? These movies are terrible!" and a great many expletives. And Hadouken and a great many others are right; RE5 will continue the series' grand tradition of being thoroughly banal and you'll give it 2 stars. They broke the mould when they made PT Anderson, they threw it away when they made Paul WS Anderson.

It doesn't look like I'll be going to the cinemas again in 2012... what a dodgy list. The Hobbit is what we have to look forward to? Looper, frankly, looks awful.

@Jareth64 Yes the 5 star movie looks terrible. Plus you are obviously very dull saying that Winter 2012 is "dody". It's probably one of the best Winter's in years.

Not too sure on The Hobbit. I really wanted to see Del Toro give it a go. I expected the tone to differ from LOTR, but fear the hobbit may be used as an excuse to just throw up more of the same. The fact that it has now been made into a trilogy and involves returning characters from LOTR who don't appear in the book, it seems to me that Peter Jackson simply wants to keep his LOTR party going. I hope to be surprised, but the way its going I reckon the Hobbit could be disappointing.
