New full trailer for Django Unchained: watch now

“What kind of doctor are you?”

Django Unchained has released a new, full-length trailer, that builds on the promise of the earlier teasers to deliver a blood-soaked hit of premium Tarantino goodness.

The new footage gives us a more thorough introduction to Dr. King Schultz, his initial rescue of Django, and his general badassery with a six-shooter. If Jamie Foxx made off with the previous trailers, Christoph Waltz is undoubtedly the star of this new one.

There’s also a first glimpse of Samuel L. Jackson as the elderly house slave of Leonardo DiCaprio’s villainous Calvin Candie, and a troubling look at the relationship between Candie and the female slaves he keeps on his plantation.

Check out the new trailer, below...

There’s also some more top-notch dialogue to be savoured here, including a reproachful female slave who takes Django down a peg or two. “You really free?” she asks. “You mean you wanna dress like that?” Zing!

Django Unchained opens in the UK on 18 January 2013. Now if you’ll excuse us, we think we’ll give that trailer another watch...

Think its going to be interesting to see (hear) what kind of soundtrack Tarrantino is going to use? With this being a Western, is his usual style of contempory music going to fit i wonder?

Was so so so excited about this. A Tarrantino Western... A Tarrantino Spaghetti Western... well maybe not. I am always pleased to see a new western at the movies, they come around so rarely these days but after watching the trailer i feel a bit deflated. I was really hoping for a throw back to the Spaghetti Westerns not just a regular Western, which is still fine but i was hoping for characters having their own little theme tune, crazy gunslingers (Bango from Sabata, Septiembre with his ball bearing firing shoes from Adios Sabata, Djangos mysterious coffin in... Django) and silent strangers riding into town.. ok ok so its all been done before but not for a long time. With all the Spaghetti soundtracks being used in previous Tarrantino movies i do expect a fantastic soundtrack. Early days yet so hopefully further trailers will get me more excited... but will still definitely being going to see it whether its a My Name is Trinity or a High Noon.
