A Good Day To Die Hard is the latest instalment of Bruce Willis’ terrorist-bashing spree.

The take-no-prisoners ex-cop John McClane finds himself on foreign soil for the first time. He travels to Moscow to help his wayward son Jack, unaware that Jack is a highly trained CIA operative out to stop a nuclear weapons heist.

After Jack gets caught up in the prison break of one of Russia’s most dangerous rebel leaders, McClane Sr. takes the helm, fighting back as the terrorists’ number one enemy.

With the underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, father and son soon discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes as they work together to stay alive and keep the world safe.

Bruce Willis reprises his action-packed role as McClane in A Good Day To Die Hard, whilst Jai Courtney (Jack Reacher) adopts the role of his son, Jack. The cast also includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Live Free Or Die Hard) as Lucy McClane, and Cole Hauser as Collins

According to director John Moore, the latest in the Die Hard franchise will feature “a couple of great gags and a couple of great McClanisms” but the “bar’s a bit higher.”  It may be short of the classic cheesy lines, but the film seems to have plenty Die Hard action.

The first trailer was a ballet of explosive action (with 'explosive' being the operative word), while the second trailer offered a bit more scope in terms of plot. And the poster ran with a typically bolshy tagline.

A Good Day To Die Hard opens on 14 February 2013.
