Hyde Park On Hudson is a biographical comedy-drama based on the love story between US President Franklin D. Roosevelt, played by Bill Murray, and his distant cousin and mistress Margaret Suckley, played by three-time Oscar nominee Laura Linney.
The story is set in June 1939 and follows Roosevelt as he invites King George VI (Samuel West) and Queen Elizabeth (Olivia Colman) to upstate New York, on a bid to form allies against the impending conflict with Germany.
Think The King’s Speech, with few more laughs.
Hyde Park On Hudson will play at the 2012 London Film Festival, before opening in the UK on 1 February 2012.
