Stoker is a psychological thriller and the first English language release for Korean filmmaker Park Chan-wook.

Starring Mia Wasikowska, Nicole Kidman and Matthew Goode, it sees the Oldboy director in familiarly dark territory.

India Stoker (Wasikowska) is in the midst of grieving the death of her father, when the mysterious Uncle Charlie (Goode) turns up. Moving into the family home and striking up a relationship with her unhinged mother (Kidman), India begins to question the motives of this previously unknown relative.

Stoker has suffered a number of setbacks since it was first penned by Prison Break star Wentworth Miller back in 2010. After a revolving door of attached actors which included Carey Mulligan, Jodie Foster and Colin Firth, the script was black-listed in 2010. It wasn't until June 2011 that the new line-up of Wasikowska, Kidman and Goode was announced and production finally began.

These delays have only added to the anticipation of fans eager to see the Korean master's first furrow into English language filmmaking. But, when we caught up with star Mia Wasikowska at Cannes 2011, she assured us his "strong vision" and unique take on the "brilliant script" will make Stoker well worth the wait.

Released in September 2012, the chilling trailer - featuring a startlingly crazed Kidman - seemed to suggest Mia wasn't fibbing.

Stoker will be released in the UK on 1 March 2013.
